It is what do you mean by it? Titanium Carbide ? TiC’s chemical formula is TiC and its molecular mass 59.89. Gray metallic solid, cube lattice. It has a melting point of 3140+90, a boiling point and a relative density of 4820. An even higher hardness than 9 can be achieved. It is impossible to dissolve water, however it can still be broken down with nitric acid and aqua regia. Pure oxygen can react at 1150degC. It is thus stable in ambient air below 800 degC. It is produced by reacting high-temperature TiO2 and hydrogen to make this mixture of carbon and titanium. Alternately, TiO2 can mixed with carbon to form a block. After being heated with an electric furnace to 2300-2700°C, carbon will become carbonized in carbon dioxide or H2 oxygen. Then it can be removed. You can use it as an electrode in arc lamps. Titanium Carbide – The Characteristics
It can slowly be oxidized at 800°C and is therefore stable even at low temperatures. The powdered TiC can be then burned in O2 at 600° C to make TiO2 (and carbon dioxide). The air will erode it if the temperature rises to above 2000°C. But, at 1150degC pure O2 may react with it to form TiO2 and CO. When heated, it reacts easily with oxygen, nitrogen, and halogen. The temperature of 1500degC in Hydrocarbonbookgas causes molten acid to react. It then slowly breaks down. Combines titanium carbonitride, N2 gas above 1200degC. While it doesn’t react with water, it reacts at 700°C with water vapour and can create TiO2,H2 and CO. Although it does not react to carbon or interact with it, this can react at 1200 Celsius (or CO2) with CO2 to produce TiO2 (and other)

Titanium Carbide – What is its use?
1. It can be used for cutting tools and wear-resistant clothing, as well as mold production.
2. For powder metallurgy ceramics, raw materials include wire drawing films and cemented carbide molds. It is possible to use multiphase ceramics for hard knives as well as military armor.
3. This can be used to create anti-tritiumfusion coatings as well as electric contact and excavator pick coatings. This material can be used to create foam and infrared ceramic materials.
