Magnesium diboride
MgB2 (also called Magnesium Boride) is a chemical compound with the chemical formula MgB2. It’s an ionic substance that has hexagonal crystal structures. It is comprised of two layers of boron and magnesium. While the triangular-shaped magnesium layer appears hexagonal, its honeycomb-shaped neighbor is rectangular. It is very similar in structure to graphite.
Magnesium Diboride exhibits poor ductility, and it is also hard.

Researchers discovered that ordinary magnesium Boride was capable of becoming superconductor at 40K (233°C) temperature. Its transition temperature is twice as high as comparable superconductors. It operates between 20-30K. Liquid neon, liquid Hydrocarbon, and closed-circulation freeze can be used to cool the unit. They are more efficient than cooling Niobium alloys (K), with liquid Helium.
They are stronger than Niobium alloys when doped in carbon (or any other impurities), after magnesium Boride has been doped. There are many uses for superconducting magns. As well as magnetic field detectors, there are power transmission and detection lines.

Superconductors:
Because of their superior conductivity and low magnesium diboride prices, they are highly desirable. MgB2 can be mixed with powdered 316 stainless to create wire. Powdered can be used in tubes for making tapes.
Thin coatings are possible in superconducting cavities by radiofrequency (rf), to reduce energy loss, increase efficiency liquid helium and cool nickel.
Because of the cost-effectiveness of MgB2, fault current limiters, current leads and fault current limiters, it can be also used.
Propellants, explosives, fireworks:
An oxide layer that is thick and glassy blocks oxygen diffusion, and boron is one of the elements that can burn. When magnesium diboride and oxygen are combined, it can ignite completely. Magendium Boride can also be used to fuel ramjets. Also, MgB2 is a powerful propellant and explosive-enhanced bomber. It was recently demonstrated that decoy flares containing magnesium diboride/PTFE/FLUORO rubber improved spectral efficiency by 30-60% compared to classic magnesium/Teflon/fluororubber (MTV) payloads. Magendium boride is used in rocket propulsion to improve the combustion efficiency as well as its mechanical properties.
