Performance of Polyglycol Oleate
Polyoxyl Oleate’s main ingredients were polyethylene glycol monoesters and diesters. Most of the fatty acids contained oleic Acid and included palmitic acid palmitic acid palmitoleic linoleic safflower acid, oleic acid, monoesters, and diesters. Polyoxyl-oleate 460 was different from Polyoxyl-oleate 860 in terms of the extent of polymerization. UHPLC-HRMS was used in order to characterize and analyze the structure of Polyoxyl oil. This structure was not only composed of the Polyethylene glycol Monoester and Diester as described in Pharmacopoeia, but also included a number free polyethylenegl monomers which were not esterified. There was a slight difference in the degree polymerization of Polyoxyethylene monoester, and Polyoxyl Oliate diester. However, there were significant differences in the level of free Polyethylene glycol.
