How is Titanium Diboride TTB2 Powder manufactured?
Titanium Diboride or TiB2 is one stable form of titanium boron. This compound is not found in nature, but it can be made by O2O2 or TiO2 carbothermal reduceds. Like other covalently bound materials, TiB2 can also be compressed using hot isostatic pressing or hot pressing. High density can be achieved with TiB2 by pressureless sintering. This will, however, require the use of liquid sintering agents such as iron or chromium.
